MANUSCRIPT ASSESSMENTS

Need someone to check out what you’ve gotten written because you feel like you’ve got a messy first draft? This service, also sometimes referred to as an “editorial assessment,” will consider your piece of work for its content, such as characterization, plot, and style. I will work with you to confirm that your work is on the right track, and provide you with suggestions for improvement on the work’s content. This service is beneficial before you begin getting that draft ready for publication or submission. I also offer consultation calls or zoom meetings after the initial assessment so we can continue brainstorming to keep you on the right track..

LINE EDITING / COPY EDITING

Are you wanting a more in depth edit with suggestions for improvement that take the whole document into consideration and as well as elements such as characterization, plot points, and flow with some rewrite suggestions? I can provide a detailed edit that includes all these elements, plus proofreading and an overall assessment on your manuscript.

PROOFREADING

Feel like you are almost ready to publish your work? I can check your document to make sure it is polished and ready to be debuted to the world with a focus on checking for grammar, syntax, appropriate punctuation, and accurate spelling. (Fair warning: I am a fan of the Oxford comma!)

We charge for writing projects on a per-document basis, depending on the length of the document and the amount of work the client requires.
